Shedding
These games come in three different types. The objective varies slightly, some wanting you to have no cards first, some not caring as long as you’re not the last to have cards, and some require you get rid of your cards as fast as you can.

The objective here is to not to be the loser, the player with cards left in hand last. All beating games have this objective as well as a few climbing games.
As Fast asYou Can
The objective in these games is to get rid of your cards as quickly as you can and there is usually a ranking system for players for how quickly they complete this. Climbing games use this type of system.
Accumulating
These games use play mechanics that allow you to accumulate cards into your hands while eliminating cards in other players hands. War games use this objective along with some combat games.
A shedding-type card game is a game in which the player's objective is to empty one's hand of all cards before all other players.
